YES – YOUTH EMPLOYMENT SERVICE
A national organization with multiple corporate funders and making use of various Implementation Partners to roll out large scale training and internship programs.
YES works with various implementation partners to initiate and oversee extensive training and internship programs.
In collaboration with EDUNOVA. This well-established Non-Profit, bridges the gap between TVC (The Village Collaboration) and YES, specializing in IT-Education.
Education. A comprehensive one-year paid internship within schools, effectively priming the youth for their subsequent journey into the job market.
Achievements
To date, 48 young individuals from SLP have attained multiple accredited IT certifications through Microsoft training,
with each student duly compensated for their efforts. This unparalleled initiative fosters ongoing skill enhancement
and serves as a solid foundation for careers in education and the broader IT sector.
Additional Benefits
All regional schools, especially SLP Primary, benefit from two extra IT Educators.
These educators play a pivotal role in preparing these children for a world where computer skills, coding and robotics have become essential tools for the future job market.
CHILDREN’S FOODURE
Overview, The philanthropic Schaap family has actively engaged with the SLP school community since early 2000, offering holistic support that spans education sponsorships for individual children, training programs to enhance employment opportunities, encouragement and financial support to sports, teams and nutritional assistance.
Achievements
They have sponsored 22 home-based care workers who, after studying at OASIS TRAINING CENTRE, now all enjoy a secure job.
SOS AFRICA – SCHOOL AND CHILD SPONSORSHIPS
Village Collaboration and SOS Africa together have initiated adult education geared towards guaranteed , stable employment.
An accredited Home Base Care training course, offered renowned PROCARE HEALTH ACADEMY, ensures long-term employment and further professional growth oppertunity.
A hugely successful collaboration now showcasing many success stories and creating a ripple effect reverberating Through the community. From jobless and hopeless to providers and proud leaders in the community.

Also, a very valuable resource to SLP Primary School in terms of infrastructure support, teacher sponsorship, funding children and general guidance and wisdom.

4THE1 – Where we give back – previously known as Books and Biscuits. Reaching many little children and their families through play, numeracy and literacy as well as bible study.
4THE1 has been an invaluable asset to SLP and have counselled many through grief, trauma, learning and personal difficulties.
